Ohio University Goes Green With StalkMarket

When one thinks of green communities, it is likely that places in Oregon, Washington, California or Vermont come to mind long before Ohio. In fact, Ohio is often ranked among the top states in the country for releasing environmental toxins in to the air and water. This dubious distinction has helped inspire Ohio University to take an aggressive stance on environmental issues on its own campus and embark upon its quest build one of the greenest communities in the country.

There is a great article in the October issue of College Services Magazine about
the University's planned composting program. A major part of that program is a commitment to use compostable disposable food service items exclusively. We are proud to be able to say that StalkMarket products are playing a major role.

We have every confidence that Ohio University will be successful with its composting program and hope that the school's commitment to the environment will serve as an example to other institutions throughout the country -- particularly in regions that are not as quick to embrace a more Earth friendly way of life.

Thanks also to College Services magazine and the National Association of College Auxiliary
Services (NACAS) for giving us permission to post the article to this blog.
